Disappeared again, didn’t I? Well if you follow me on my instagram you’ll know why. Dickie and I have moved back to California. If you’ve followed me for any length of time you are probably already aware that we live like Gypsies thanks to Dickie’s career, so this is very ordinary for us. We spent a year and nine months in Texas. There was a lot I liked, but overall I always missed California. I am definitely a Californian girl, and probably always will be, so it’s nice to be back home.

We’ve only been in Texas about 2 1/2 weeks, and already people are asking me what I think. Now that’s not really fair, as I don’t believe one can make a firm opinion about a new place to live until they’ve lived there at least one whole year. I haven’t even tried out all the seasons yet. Today I was checking out all of the fun things to do in Texas, and it looks like all the fairs, events, concerts, art walks, and festivities, seem to take place primarily in the fall or spring; which I can understand, because who wants to party outside in this heat and humidity? Even at night it’s pretty muggy. So it seems I have a few more months to wait for Texas to charm me, but it means I have a lot to look forward to this fall…like a sweet Judas Priest concert 😀

I have always wanted a silver nail polish that wasn’t just shiny, but straight metallic. Like liquid metal on my nails. I’ve seen nail strips that give that perfect metallic finish, but I’m not a fan of strips, and I wanted the same effect, but in a polish. A few weeks ago I was in a Walgreens when I saw Essie’s No Place Like Chrome nail polish, and I had to have it.
